Dealing with Islamophobia and its challenges

Wednesday 25 May 2016, 12:30-17:00pm, Edinburgh

End the Hate, Spread the Love #EndTheHate

We live in a multicultural society, yet some groups face significantly greater challenges than others. The aim of this workshop is to create awareness of issues regarding hate crime, the procedure to report it, and various ways to end the problem. The workshop intends to promote interaction between individuals from diverse backgrounds to create an understanding of the importance of breaking through barriers, and the need for cultural inclusion, regardless of the differences and dissimilarities among individuals living in Scotland. The workshop is organised by Bright Red Triangle as part of the project, “Changing Perceptions: Embracing Diversity”, in collaboration with The Alwaleed Centre (University of Edinburgh) and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (Scotland).
