Engaging with Diverse Communities

This workshop has been developed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to gain access to and engage with diverse and ‘hard to reach’ communities.

The purpose of this workshop is to:

  • Develop knowledge of ‘diversity’ and diverse communities
  • Enhance understanding of how best to gain access to and engage with diverse communities
  • Provide best practice guidance which enables professionals to develop effective and sustainable methods of engagement
  • Illustrate how effective engagement can enhance inclusivity through the increased uptake of services
  • Demonstrate how meaningful engagement methods are essential to developing effective, community-oriented policy and practice
