Neighbours Without Borders

Neighbours without Borders is a one-time public action taking place in response to the hate crime inflicted against a Muslim man, 66-year old Abu Sheikh, on July 13 as he was leaving prayer service at his mosque, and walking to his home. Men attacked him by attempting to run him over with a half-ton truck, vandalized his home with bricks, and left him physically and psychologically harmed.

We are standing together to show that racism and hate crimes do not have a place in Canada and Saskatoon. This elder must see that the community is here for him. For that reason, you will be walking from the mosque he prays at, to his home, and then to the neighbouring Grosvenor Park to have a traditional tea service.
