Right to Be: Hate Crime and LGBTQ awareness training

The Right to Be Project is hosting five free training sessions on hate crime and LGBTQ awareness. These will be delivered across East Riding for multiagency professionals, community members and community volunteers throughout May and June 2018.

These training sessions will explore what sexual and gender identity is, what are sexual orientation and transgender identity hate crimes and the impact they have on victims and wider communities. They will raise awareness and understanding of the roles and responsibilities professionals hold to tackle and prevent hate crime, by creating empathy for others who can experience a hate crime and increasing understanding of the impact of prejudice on others.
