Supporting Victims of Hate Crime

Using the findings from Britain’s biggest study of hate crime victimisation, this workshop has been developed to equip practitioners with the knowledge and skills they need to respond to the challenges posed by hate crime.

The purpose of this workshop is to:

  • Develop knowledge of the nature and extent of hate crime
  • Enhance understanding of the emotional, physical and health impacts of hate crime
  • Improve practitioners’ skills and understanding of how best to support victims and those at risk of hate crime victimisation
  • Provide practitioners with the appropriate tools and best practice guidance to improve criminal justice responses to hate crime victims
