Violence Against Women and Girls, Forced Marriage and Crimes Committed in the Name of “Honor”

Training will cover the range of Violence Against Women and Girls as well as the harmful practies such as forced marriage and so-called “honour-based” violence. Training is aimed at front line staff (e.g. social workers, police, emergency services, health visitors, teachers, housing, safeguarding leads etc.).

Training outcomes:

  • Increase awareness and understanding amongst in identifying and responding to harmful practices.
  • Increase in the number of women at risk being identified by front line service providers as at risk of harmful practices as a result of the training.
  • An increase in the number of women and girls at risk that are identified, supported and referred to VAWG support services as a result of the training delivered across London
