Cyber Crime and Physical Security

Thursday 4 June 2015, 7:45 – 9:30 am

Cyber Crime is a bigger risk now than ever before due to the sheer number of connected people and the many devices used. It has now surpassed illegal drug trafficking as a criminal money-maker and somebody’s identity is stolen every three seconds as a result.

Examples of cyber crime – when the illegal activities are committed through the use of a computer and the internet – include hate crimes, telemarketing and internet fraud, identity theft and credit card account thefts.

Paul Robinson, Deputy Police Crime Commissioner, and PCSO Chris Wright, of Humberside Police, will join us to highlight current threats to business and individuals. They will illustrate how the force can offer free support to businesses against fraud and cyber crime to reduce risk and prevent future theft to all organisations.

This event is taking place at The Deep, Hull HU1 4DP.
