Facing Facts Forward: For a Victim Centred Approach to Tackling Hate Crime

3 – 4 March 2015, Brussels

Facing Facts Forward! will continue to facilitate and strengthen the cooperation between governments, law enforcement, prosecutors, civil society organisations and international organisations to tackle hate crimes.

The conference aims to identify practical steps and infrastructures that governments, law enforcement, civil society and international organisations can undertake to foster and stimulate long lasting partnerships towards establishing good quality national monitoring systems according to international standards and encouraging victims to report.

The conference will be professionally facilitated with highly participatory methods which will help all participants to identify practical strategies for institutional change, thereby mutually reinforcing our various efforts. Representatives of governments, law enforcement, prosecution services, civil society and international organisations will be challenged to take realistic steps to produce short and long term results. CEJI – A Jewish Contribution to an Inclusive Europe’s facilitation competences will guarantee a safe space for all to cooperate in a constructive way, enabling participants to actively engage with the topic.

This event is taking place in Brussels at the Belgian Royal Library, 4 Boulevard De L’Empereur, 1000 – Brussels.
